Banana caramel sauce you can top yogurt or ice cream.

A banana caramel sauce made by simmering water and brown sugar, then whisking in bananas, heavy cream and spices, finished with vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and optional butter extract.

Add the water and brown sugar to a medium sauce pan. Slice bananas into about 1/2 inch thick slices and shake the pan gently to form an even layer of everything in the pan.

Turn on very low heat just until the sugar is about dissolved. This takes about 15-20 min.

Bring to a low simmer for about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat and remove the bananas with a slotted spoon, use these later to top yogurt or ice cream!

Add the heavy cream, whisk until combined, then bring to a low boil for about 3 minutes.

Turn off the heat and add the remaining ingredients. Whisk to combine.
